SMOD: Outbreak

Great mod for Half-Life 2. Really system-intensive. Have a look. It's a cross between Left4Dead, Counter-Strike: Source, Call of Duty 4, and a few other games.

Best skit ever. Alec Baldwin did a great job with this. Takes some serious(ly?) (sweaty?) balls to not laugh. Similar to the Sean Connery impressions SNL does.

Achievements for Life.

I finished reading "A Prayer for Owen Meany" tonight. Touching book.

SPOILERS: Kid dies, saves other kids, shit blows up, the end.

But it touched me. What if we could do that in games? Save others by sacrificing ourselves at the climax? How interesting.

Either way, it'd be worth an achievement. (I'm a huge fan of how they mean something to PC gamers -- they'll actually earn you neat-o in-game stuff.)



Requirements: Play and beat the game on hard, first run through.

I'm going to get that one, next game I buy.
